We had hoped to bring out Issue 2 of The GRIND in May 2020, but worldwide and local crises have led us to delay publication. In the meantime, here’s an Air Dance – an online PDF of resources for MN-based dancers and a notification about an upcoming meeting with Minneapolis officials on the new Adult Entertainment Ordinance.
Hi-Res PDF of Issue 1
Hard copies of Issue 1 of the GRIND are almost sold out!
Paper copies are still available through Bluestockings bookstore in NYC and Microcosm Publishing’s online store. Each location has 5 copies, as of this writing.
If you don’t need the physicality, you can get a hi-resolution PDF copy for a mere $3 on Etsy. All the profits go to support future work by The Feminist Strip Club.
Issue 1 of The GRIND Available Now!
The Feminist Strip Club’s first publication, Issue 1 of The GRIND, is available now!
In cooperation with Workday Minnesota, The Feminist Strip Club has produced a series of articles about our experiences in and visions for stripping. These articles appear in different forms on Workday Minnesota‘s website and in our very own hardcopy magazine.
The GRIND is a 24-page, full-color, 8.5 x 11″ zine with articles, photos, personal essays and strippers’ responses to online strip club reviews – all produced by members of The FSC. This issue has a special focus on the history of and upcoming changes to Minneapolis ordinances that regulate adult entertainment venues, but we feel it has interest beyond the local area for those who are following the growing movement for sex workers’ rights.
Copies of the The GRIND are available in Minneapolis at:
In Chicago it can be found at Quimby’s Books and at Atomic Books in Baltimore. More locations to be announced soon.
You can also receive a copy via mail by making a donation of at least $12 using the link below.
